SODA POP

Da Mind Rippa

(aka: Oracle,  aka: Doktor Mind Bender)

Soda Pop, also known as Da Mind Rippa, is a true veteran of the Old School West Coast underground rap scene. Hailing from the heart of Central Los Angeles, Soda Pop came up in the trenches—navigating the hustle and the struggle with nothing but raw talent, street smarts, and a deep love for hip hop. From a young age, he learned how to survive in the hood the real way: by connecting with like-minded MCs and carving his place in the rap game through relentless grind and unshakable authenticity.

Spitting since the late ‘80s, Soda Pop’s lyrical style is sharp, hypnotic, and thought-provoking—earning him the nickname “Da Mind Rippa” for the way he slices through beats with vivid wordplay and mental precision. He first made noise as a key member of Smooth Kaos and the legendary UGN Crew, laying the foundation for his rise in the Cali underground. He later joined forces with other heavyweights in the scene through groups like Bad Co. and the iconic California’s Finest, where he collaborated with artists like Prowl-Loc, Treason, C-Dub, Kilo Hype, Big Shane, and more.

Rolling with the independent powerhouse Fat Sac Records, Soda Pop became a staple in the underground—known for his commanding delivery, conscious street poetry, and ability to keep crowds locked in from the first bar to the last hook. His verses don’t just entertain—they educate, elevate, and resonate.

Still posted up in Central L.A., Soda Pop stays active in the booth, keeping that authentic West Coast underground sound alive. His presence, passion, and pen game remain untouchable—proving that while trends come and go, real hip hop never fades.
